Friday, May 25
Hello every one! With memorial day coming up, I wanted all of us to think of all the people we know who served our country and make it a point to say thank you to them for what they did in service to our country. Make it a point that whenever you see a veteran that you will express your thanks for their service. It means a lot to them and they really appreciate it especially when young people come up and talk to them. They gave so much so that we can enjoy what we do today. So next time you see a veteran, make sure you shake their hand and say with all your heart, "Thank you" .
Here It Goes!
The boys went out one evening to pick up some things to fix up the van.
Our house from the road.
Off we go to...
...Klem's! An awesome store where they have everything plus...
...FREE POPCORN!!! :)
It must taste good. :)
Noah taking a picture of himself :)
One last pit stop to Advance Auto Parts.

The next day, we found a luna moth on our screen door. It was so beautiful.
Up close. It was amazing that it had so many shades of colors
"Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created."

Farm Update:
Caleb working hard in the garden. Next post I will hopefully have pictures of a field we are renting from another farmer who lives down the road from us. We have a LOT of stuff growing in the field.
Our chicks that are not so little any more.
They were so interested in the camera.
The not-so-little ducks. Aflac (the one closest to the camera) lives up to her name being the most loudest out of the three. When we say, "Aflac" we normally get a response from her. :)
They have a special bond to Bethany. When the other children are around the ducks normally just ignore them. But when they see Bethany, they "chirp" and get all excited because they thinks she's mama duck :)
Art.
Our big chickens.
Our neighbor graciously let us use a grassy field they had for our chickens. This helps cut down on the mice and tick population that were in the field as well as saving a lot of feed from pasturing the chickens.
Our strawberry patch. Lord willing, we should have another great harvest of strawberries this year.
The mixed greens beds. It looks like a carpet of green!
Yes! Finally a green house! After many tries to build a homemade one, we eventually decided to buy a professional green house.
Inside the green house
We discovered this robin's nest on our fort.
We have been trying to be very careful not to go on the fort too often for, if it feels threatened, the parent bird will eventually abandon the nest.
Caleb: The rugged, determined, anti-weed, unwavering, steadfast, and overall one of the best farmers around.
Our happy dog, Liberty
Thank you for stopping by!

Wow! What a Week!
It really has been busy! Thank you for stopping by and hopefully I will have another post next week!
Can I have your camera please?
Micah's picture of Mom's Mother's Day flowers :)
Micah doing his homeschooling. One way we encourage him to keep going is we have a sticker box and every time he finishes a worksheet, he gets to put a sticker on his worksheet.
Josiah the frontier man doing his writing.
A hard worker :)
School work all done! Yipee!
Our soap production is well underway for our farmer's market.
It's Josiah's Birthday! He is seven years old and can down seven pancakes easily :)
It also was Mom and Dad's anniversary. Dad had gotten flowers, chocolate, and a card for Mom.
Now back to Josiah's birthday. After having a cook out dinner, it was time for dessert that Josiah picked out: An American flag cake with homemade vanilla and chocolate mint ice cream. Yum!
My little man is growing up fast.
"Happy birthday to you...."
Taking the big breath...
Lights out!
My handsome brother, Micah
My beautiful sister, Sarah
Behind the scenes doing 30 pushups. Had to burn off all that cake and ice cream somehow!
Present time!!!!!!!!!
A short range BB gun. He wanted to drag Dad outside and target practice right then and there! (No target practicing without adult supervision)
I love this picture!
A drawing book. Josiah is great at drawing and I can't wait to see him excel.
Oh boy! Playmobil!
The Playmobil farmer's market set :)
With his rifle by his side :)
Cocoa bean! (That's Micah's nickname) And that's the end of Josiah's birthday.
A few days later, we had an extreme downpour of rain that nearly flooded our shed. We literally had a river going down our driveway!
Our duckies liked the rain!
Josiah!
A butterfly. Not sure what kind it is. Anyone have ideas?
The farmers market Playmobil all set up :) Noah, Josiah, and Micah worked on it together and made it look really nice.
The homestead
Indside the house
The boys learned a lot about presentation while setting up.
The garden. Our garden is about 100 times bigger though!
Thank you for visiting and have a great day!
